PRESS RELEASES

December 2006

This is now crunch time for our other golf company, Brian Morgan Golf, USA, as we will be exhibiting at the PGA Show in Orlando, January 25-27, 2007. We will be introducing a new line of black & white photographs from the Brian Morgan archive, which will have a vintage look. (Link to the press release on The Wire?) We will also showcase gorgeous new color photographs of Old Head, as well as present our monumental digital images on canvas for the first time.

November 2006

The fun is really beginning now with playing in the JP Morgan Chase Women's Only Open at Legacy Resort. It was a blast to meet so many enterprising women who love to play golf as much as I do. Although it was an uncharacteristically cold day, the event was lots of fun, extremely well organized and supports many worthy charities.

October 2006

With our story in the October 12, 2006 Scottsdale Tribune (link to story?) we are propelled into a high gear. Scottsdale Collection has also joined the Southwest Golf Media Association to network with more of our peers.

August 2006

With an intense 6 weeks of packing and moving, our new headquarters is set up at Troon. Although it is a super hot time of year, we will be completely organized for the start of "the season." It takes a monumental effort to get everything in place, with the art collection coming by dedicated art handlers. This is really a dream come true, including working with Kerry Graham, former President of the LPGA and getting fitted for new Ping clubs.

June 2006

Our annual trip to the UK started with several days in Basel Switzerland, attending Art Basel, which is the most prestigious contemporary art show in the world. Yes, a world apart from the golf industry, but remember our founder is an art dealer and it is still a core passion. After a few days in Machrihanish where the weather was wet and wild, playing at Loch Lomond was as sublime as it could be. From there, home base became The Old Course Hotel, we got to play at the re-designed Dukes Course and meet Tim Liddy and Herb Kohler, who were in to inspect the course. (Can you insert photo of me on Swilcan Bridge here?) Along with Mr. Kohler, who had his picture taken on the famous Swilcan Bridge, I was equally thrilled to be photographed here where so many before me have paused for a picture. Pure links golf was in store at Carnoustie on an overcast but tame day. More wind came to challenge us at Kingsbarns. However it was really blowing a gale at Turnberry, which led to more lost balls, but a great two rounds. What better way to end with a few more rounds at Loch Lomond, where I finally parred the longish par-5 16th hole.

May 2006

At long last, we are proud to announce that Scottsdale Collection will be relocating to Troon in Scottsdale, Arizona later this summer. Troon is in the high Sonoran Desert, not far from Desert Highlands and Pinnacle Peak. We will be just two miles from Troon Country Club, which was founded 20 years ago and is home to a Tom Weiskopf course, named after Royal Troon, where Weiskopf won the Open Championship.
